The Nursery, Kindergarten One (1) and Kindergarten Two(2) runs a three-term calendar, as done by the Ghana Education Service.
In between the terms, are vacation periods. These departments also enjoy public holidays.
- School Hours: 7:30am – 3:00pm
- After School Services: 3:00 pm – 6:00pm
The After School Service caters for nursery and kindergarten departments whose parents are not able to pick them up by 3:30 pm. The After School Service period is from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
A child would have to be signed up, pay for the term’s After School fees and be issued with an identity card to be part of the programme.
A high level of cleanliness is required of each child at all times. All children are to report neatly dressed in the prescribed uniform, black shoes and white socks at all times except Fridays when they come in their polo tops and jeans.
Hairstyles for girls should be very neat and well-kempt, beads should be avoided as children can swallow them, instead a few hairbands will be accepted. Boys should always have their hair neatly cut and well-groomed.
Cleanliness in and around the school is EXQUISITE as the name; meaning EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL, CAREFULLY MADE, DELICATE, SENSITIVE AND NICE. The washrooms are spacious with soap dispensers, lots of toilet bowls, tissues, towels, etc. All floors are very well cleaned frequently, hand sanitizers are provided everywhere and the staff are always alert to keep standards.
CO-CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES (NURSERY AND KINDERGARTEN)
Pupils at the Nursery and Kindergarten departments must join any one of the following co-curricular clubs in the academic year.
Changes may be made to club membership at the beginning of an academic year. More clubs will be added as the school expands.
The existing clubs are:
- Cultural Dance
- Language Development and Public Speaking
The kitchen prepares and serves hot, delicious and nutritious meals for snack, baby haven, lunch and dinner with a platter of fruits.
Our caterers provide culinary favourites for children in a very neat and conducive environment.
All plates, bowls, cutlery and equipment are neatly sterilised after use for the next serving and table manners are introduced at a very early stage to add up to the grooming of all children.
The kitchen is well equipped with gadgets such as microwaves, refrigerators, freezers, food processors and many more, all to make children feel at home.
All kitchen staff are neatly dressed in their white apparel and have a health certificate which is renewed yearly
THE SCHOOL’S COLOUR (GREEN)
The modern English word Green comes from Middle English and Anglo-Saxon word grene, and is associated with the same Germanic root as the words “grass” and “grow”.
It is the colour of living grass and leaves, and consequently, evokes springtime, growth and nature. Several minerals have a green colour, including the emeralds, which is the colour most commonly associated with nature, life, health, youth, spring, safety and hope.
Due to its association with nature, it is the colour of the global movement for environmental protection. We at Exquisite Baby Lounge identify with this vibrant colour for growth, fruitfulness and longevity.
